| Why Should I Join the Pride of Connecticut? |
By becoming a member of the Pride of Connecticut, students become a part of the largest, most dynamic, most exciting family on the University of Connecticut campus. The UConn Marching Band is the heartbeat of the University, providing its passion and energy for countless UConn events, most notably football games at Rentschler Field.
Freshmen arrive on campus at Storrs with a 300 person family/support system. They learn the pride and passion that comes with being the public face of a major university. Current members cannot say enough about what the band has done for them, and often find ways to keep returning or helping. The Pride of Connecticut is an experience unlike any other. Join the band, and become the "U" in the UCMB!

Switch to Brass! |
Ever thought about switching to a brass instrument? Now is the perfect time. Horn, Baritone, Trombone, and Tuba parts include training parts that will allow the newer player to learn and to contribute at the same time. As the size of the band increases, more brass players are needed to fill out the ranks and improve the band both visually and aurally.
For more information, visit the Horn, Baritone, Trombone, and Tuba section webpages, and contact Marvin McNeill. |

Directions to the Band Office
|
From I-84 : Take Exit 68 (You will see UConn signs along the road before the exit ramp). Turn onto Route 195 South. Continue along Route 195S for approximately 15 minutes. Once you have gone straight through the intersection of Route 44 and Route 195, you are only a couple of minutes away from campus. You will see campus signs, but continue to head straight along 195. Go straight through 2 traffic lights, and at the third traffic light (will be a four way intersection), take a right and park at the small metered lot on your right.
To the Band Office: Enter the music building by the large cylindrical section (the music library) and take a left down the hallway. Proceed down the ramp and through a set of double doors. The band office is about 3/4 of the way down the hall on the left before the second set of double doors. The office is room number 116. |
